Dr. Mirko Brüggemann

About me

With nearly a decade of experience as a bioinformatician, I specialize in cancer biology and RNA regulation research. Over the years, I have developed multiple bioinformatics pipelines for processing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, ensuring efficient and accurate data analysis for high-impact research.

As the primary developer of the R/Bioconductor package BindingSiteFinder, I have contributed to advancing tools for genomic data interpretation and enhancing reproducibility within the research community.

In my current role on the Tailored Omics team at BioNTech SE, I am privileged to contribute to the development of mRNA-based cancer vaccine platforms, supporting innovative approaches to precision medicine and transformative cancer therapies.
